We invest a lot of time and technology into planning and creating our games to ensure a great experience. Who are the Exit Oulu Escape rooms suitable for?
Our escape rooms are suitable for almost everyone, from first-timers to experienced pros. We welcome groups of friends, families, and work teams to play. The games do not require physical strength or prior experience. They focus on teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving. Each room is designed so that players of different ages and backgrounds can enjoy the challenge and experience together.
How difficult are the escape rooms?
We offer a selection of games in different levels of difficulty, so that everyone can find a suitable game: no matter if you’re a beginner or an Escape Expert! Our games include a variety of puzzles and challenges, with a touch of the latest technology to make the atmosphere in the games feel as real and captivating as possible. Most of our games are suitable for families and children, too! Get to know our games.
What is an escape room?
An escape room is an immersive adventure game where a team works together to solve puzzles, riddles, and mysteries in order to reach a goal. Games usually last 60 minutes and are played in teams of 2 to 6 people. Players must explore and observe their surroundings, find clues to progress, and ultimately solve the game’s objective. Success often requires good teamwork – without it, the mission might remain unfinished. But no worries: a game master follows the game and offers hints when needed to keep things moving and the mood high.
Exit Oulu offers 14 different themed rooms, each with its own story and mission. For example, in The Heist, your team must pull off a robbery and steal a valuable item from under tight security. Dead Man’s Island takes you to a mysterious island that hides the secret of eternal life, and in Pharaoh’s Secret, you’ll explore the depths of an ancient pyramid in search of the source of the pharaohs’ power.

When are you open?
We are open based on bookings. You can reach us by phone every day at 044 555 4040.
Please note that the online booking calendar does not display times that are less than 16 hours away. If you want to book an escape room on short notice, you can call us and we’ll check the available times.

Where are you located?
We have three venues: Uusikatu 22, Uusikatu 13-15 and Kirkkokatu 17 (on the Rotuaari square). Remember to check the location when booking a game! Map
Are the rooms scary?
The rooms don’t contain anything scary or horror effects. The only exception is our horror themed room The SAW.
Room suitability
The rooms may have special effects, loud noices, small spaces and bright/blinking lights. Please contact us before booking if necessary, and we can help you choose a suitable room for you!
Accessibility
Our Uusikatu locations are wheelchair accessible, the emloyees will open the lift/ramp for you if necessary. Some games do, however, contain high doorsteps, stairs, small doorways and narrow spaces. Please contact us before booking if necessary, and we can help you choose a suitable room for you!
Can we bring kids to the escape room?
Of course! Kids from ages 12 and up can solve the rooms independently, younger children can participate with an adult. The exception being our horror game The Saw, which we don’t recommend for anyone under the age of 15.
For kids and families we especially recommend The Curse of the Temple, The Wizard’s Legacy, The Magician and The Dead Man’s Island.
Is it okay if we have more than 6 people in the group?
For the best experience we recommend a maximum number of six players, since the spaces and games are designed for a group of that size. If necessary, your team can have up to 7-8 people, in which case the price will be 20€/person. For bigger groups we recommend booking multiple rooms at the same time: for example, we have two identical rooms of our game The Magician, where two teams can compete against each other in simultaneous experiences!
Are the games suitable for bachelor parties or other events?
Very much so! We can also arrange extra surprises for the games, such as hidden presents for your team member to find. Contact us for more information!
How do we pay?
You can pay onsite for the whole experience together or all your team members can pay their share separately. We accept cash and most credit/debit cards. Also culture benefit vouchers (Smartum, Edenred, Epassi, Tyky+, Eazybreak) until 30.6.2025. For businesses we have a billing option, just send your billing information beforehand to info@exitoulu.fi. A 6€ service fee will be added to your invoice.
How do we cancel our booking?
If you wish to cancel your booking, you can do so via telephone or by clicking the link in the booking confirmation email. Bookings of a single game have to be cancelled a minimum of 24h before the booked time. If you have booked two or more rooms, please cancel at least 48h beforehand. For uncancelled, unused bookings we charge 50€ per game.
How about food and drinks?
Can do! In our Uusikatu 22 location we have a private cabinet where we can organise catering and events such as meetings, lunches, company parties and dinner events. Contact us and we’ll design a catering package suitable for your group.
We have alcohol serving licences at all our locations, including the escape rooms, so you can enjoy a beverage purchased onsite during your escape experience.
